Your BookBoy license

When you purchase BookBoy, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the app on the number of Macs shown at checkout or in your purchase entitlement. The license is for you; it is not a right to redistribute BookBoy, share a license key, resell access, or make the app available as a service to others.

BookBoy and its visual identity, software, and documentation are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. We retain all rights not expressly granted to you.

Books, PDFs, and output

• Only import PDFs and make audio from material you own, created, are licensed to use, or may otherwise lawfully convert for your personal use.
• BookBoy does not grant rights to a book, PDF, audiobook, or other work. Copyright, contract terms, lending terms, and local laws may limit what you can copy, convert, share, or distribute.
• Do not use BookBoy to bypass technical protections, distribute infringing copies, or violate another person’s privacy or publicity rights.

Voice references and synthetic narration

You may only create or use a custom voice when you have the clear permission of the person whose voice is represented, or another valid legal right to use it. By adding a voice reference, you confirm that you have that permission or right.

Do not use BookBoy to impersonate, deceive, defraud, harass, threaten, or falsely suggest endorsement by a real person. See our Voice Use Policy for more detail.

Feedback board rules

• Keep requests constructive and relevant to BookBoy. Do not post unlawful, abusive, deceptive, confidential, personal, or infringing material.
• Feedback is public. You keep ownership of what you submit, but give BookBoy permission to display, reproduce, review, and use it to operate the board and improve BookBoy without an obligation to compensate you.
• We may remove, edit for safety, or mark as delivered any post that violates these rules or threatens the integrity of the board.

Payment, access, and updates

Prices, taxes, payment options, and the license entitlement are shown before payment. A purchase is complete only after successful payment confirmation. Your receipt, invoice, download, and license information are delivered through the purchase flow and its customer portal.

We may release updates, change or improve features, and make reasonable security or compatibility changes. A valid license may be required to use releases and receive support. See Delivery & Refunds for help with a purchase.

Availability and responsibility

We work to keep BookBoy reliable, but software and third-party services can fail. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BookBoy is provided as available and without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for every purpose. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BookBoy is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. If liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for BookBoy in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms when the product or law changes. Continued use after an effective update means you accept the updated terms, except where law requires another process. Questions about these terms can be sent to mail@bookboy.xyz.
